Friendship of 40 years
On 25 November 1971 diplomatic relations were established between Norway and Vietnam. The year 2011 marks the 40 year anniversary of this relationship. Throughout the year, Norway will celebrate this occasion with various events in Vietnam. Here you can read more about the celebration.
25 November 2011 marked 40 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Norway. A daytime symposium and a nighttime classical concert exhibited and celebrated the strong ties between the two countries. Celebrations also took place in the southern and central parts of Vietnam. Read more
An evening of cultural consumption on 15 November, with Norwegian movies and delicacies, marked the beginning of several celebrations of 40 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Norway. A musical potpourri of Norwegian songs and folk tunes was performed at a New Year Concert in Hanoi Cinematheque on January 7. The concert was the first event of many in 2011 to celebrate the 40 year anniversary of diplomatic relations between Norway and Vietnam. Read more
