Bilateral ties between Norway and Vietnam have been developed over more than three decades. As expressed in the Norwegian Government's Vietnam Strategy, Norway will base its Vietnam policy on areas where both countries have a particular interest in cooperation, and it will seek to promote Norwegian business interests, specialist expertise and values, including climate and environment and strengthening of human rights.
