State Secretary Halvard Ingebrigtsen visits Vietnam 7 – 8 December

On 7 December, an EFTA delegation, headed by Norwegian State Secretary of Trade and Industry, Halvard Ingebrigtsen, met with the Vietnamese Deputy-Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Nguyen Cam Tu. Representatives of Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and the EFTA Secretariat were all part of the EFTA Exploratory Mission and the Mission discussed possible Free Trade negotiations with their Vietnamese counterparts.
Furthermore, State Secretary Ingebrigtsen met with Deputy Prime Minister Hai to discuss bilateral matters in relation to Deputy Prime Minister Hai’s forthcoming visit to Norway. The State Secretary also had bilateral meetings with various Vietnamese partners like Petrovietnam, Vinashin, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters. In addition to this, State Secretary Ingebrigtsen had fruitful discussions with representatives from various Norwegian companies that are established in Vietnam.
