Checklists (long stay)

23/12/2010 // If you want to stay in Norway to work or study, or to be reunified with your family, you have to provide supporting documents with your application for a residence permit. Here you find what documents are needed to submit a complete application for a residence permit.

Important: All copies submitted with the application must be in the size of a A4 paper.

There are many reasons for applying for residence permit in Norway. Please find the appropriate checklists below:

There are many reasons for going to Norway to live. The checklist covers these reasons: 

Study and work. For applicants who want to live and study in Norway, or work, either permanent or seasonal. 

  • Work, permanent or seasonal (table 1, 2)
  • Study (table 1, 3)
  • Au pair (table 1, 4)

7-day entry for spouse/common child. For foreign spouse or common children of Norwegian Citizen, a 7 day entry visa may be granted if an application for a residence permit to reunify with spouse/child already has been submitted to UDI or will be submitted during the 7 days.
