Vietnamese Artists participating in the Exhibition LIM DIM in Oslo

The Norwegian Cultural Days were successfully co-organized by the Norweign Missions Alliance Vietnam (NMAV) and the Union of Friendship Organizations of Tien Giang province on May 28th - 29th.

The International Ibsen Scholarships were established by the Norwegian parliament in relation to the central government budget for the fiscal year of 2007. The Ministry of Culture and Church Affairs administers the funds, while the Skien municipality carry out the administrative support functions for the scholarships and the review panel.

In November and December 2006 Norwegian and Vietnamese musicians held one concert in Hanoi and one in Ho Chi Minh City together. The cooperation concerts were very successful. The cooperation was organised by ULTIMA festival, and supported by the Embassy.

Henrik Ibsen, the Norwegian most famous playwright, has been introduced in Vietnam since 1970s. His play was, however, performed for the first time in Hanoi in October 2004 . In commemoration of Ibsen Year 2006, Vietnam will contribute various activities to mark this event in Vietnam.
