The Vietnamese President Nguyen Minh Triet visited Norway 5th and 6th of June 2008. With him was also three Ministers and four Vice Ministers.

Visits in 2006 from Norway to Vietnam
State Secretary Hege Solbakken
State Secretary Hege Solbakken from the Prime Minister Jens Stoltenbergs office visited Hanoi 29th November to 1st December 2006 on the occation of the 35th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Norway and Vietnam. The State Secretary attended at the anniversary concert and reception. Solbakken had meetings with First Deputy Minister Le Cong Phung in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Planning and Investment, National Committee on the Advancement of Women and Ministry of Finance. She also met Telenor and attended at the contract signing between Hoegh and Vinashin.
Foreign Relations Committee
The Norwegian Foreign Relations Committee with Chairman Akselsen from Stortinget, the National Assembly, visited Vietnam 24. - 27.September 2006. The Committee met with Peoples Council/Committee in Lang Son Province, Quang Tri Province, Thua Thien Hue Province, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's National Assembly and the government. The Foreign Relations Committee also visited the "Rural development in coastal area" project.

Jørg Willy Bronebakk from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs paid Vietnam an official visit in the period 13. - 14. March 2005.
Foreign Deputy Minister Sylvi Graham
Foreign Deputy Minister Sylvi Graham paid a visit to Vietnam in the period 9 - 13 April 2005. She had meetings with Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Trade, Transport and Fisheries, and with representatives of Vietnam's maritime industry. Deputy Minister Graham also had meetings with the local authorities and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ho Chi Minh City before she concluded her visit in Vietnam.
State visit 2004
The State Visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam by Their Majesties the King and Queen of Norway was from 1 - 5 November 2004.
The visit started in Hanoi, and included visits to Hue as well as Ho Chi Minh City. Several business to business meetings, cultural activities as well as a series of seminars, in addition to official meetings took place during the visit.
The visit was very successful and contributed to better understanding and more co-operation between our two countries. It was positively reviewed by media both in Vietnam as well as in Norway.
