Norwegian leading companies within maritime industry (services and equipment suppliers and manufacturers) joined Vietship 2008 from 11th- 14th March 2008 in Hanoi.
03/04/2008 :: This year the Norwegian participation on Vietship 2008 had a solid increase from the 2006 display. Norwegian Maritime Exporters (NME) did in cooperation with Innovation Norway, organize the Norwegian Pavilion where more than 30 Norwegian companies participated.
Norwegian leading companies within maritime industry (services and equipment suppliers and manufacturers) joined Vietship 2008 from 11th- 14th of March in Hanoi. This is the 4th International Exhibition on Shipbuilding, Marine Technology & Transportation organized by Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (Vinashin).
The maritime sector has a high priority in Vietnam these days. Within 2020 they aim at becoming the world's 4th largest shipbuilding nation. Vietnam has over 35 shipbuilding and repair yards and one can say that the shipbuilding development is tremendous in Vietnam where investemnts are increasing largely. This highlights the importance of a Norwegian and Vietnamese trade and industry relationship of which through such events as Vietnsip can continue to grow.
