"Vietnam Express" was the first bilateral cultural exchange project between Norway and Vietnam. The exhibition opened in Stavanger on 15 January 1998 and toured through big cities in Norway such as Bergen, Oslo and ended up by the end of that same year.
The ten artists featured in the exhibition, ranging from 25 to 49, can be seen as a new trend of development in art in Vietnam. They are talents and diversed in styles and with origional visions of their own. They are Nguyen Quan, Ha Tri Hieu, Hong Viet Dung, Dinh Quan, Nguyen Quoc Hoi, Dinh Y Nhi ...
This first exhibition of Vietnamese Contemporary Art in Norway proved itself an opportunity to bring the two countries and peoples closer together.
