It is our pleasure to introduce the Embassy Website to the public. It contains general information regarding the Royal Kingdom of Norway as well as bilateral relations between Norway and Vietnam. Latest relevant news concerning our two countries will also be regularly updated.
Vietnam and Norway established diplomatic relations on 25 November 1971 and opened the Embassy in Hanoi in 1996. The Norwegian Agency for Development Co-operation (NORAD) had a representative office in Hanoi during 1975 - 1982. NORAD is now integrated in the Embassy. A Royal Norwegian Consulate was opened in 1999 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Embassy is also responsible for bilateral matters concerning Laos. Detailed information about Laos can be obtained at the Swedish Embassy in Laos.
