Due to update of exchange rate the following fees will take effect from 22 August 2008.

Visa fees are to be paid in Vietnamese dong only, according to the rate at the time of payment. The exchange rate will be changed by the Embassy without prior notice whenever deemed necessary.

The handling fees are as follows from 22 August 2008:

The following are exempted from fee for submitting application for Schengen Visa:
- Children under six years of age
- Pupils, students and their accompanying teachers if the purpose of the travel is studying or other training
- Researchers from third countries travelling in the Schengen area to do scientific research as defined by the European parliament and council recommendation 2005/761/EF of 28 September 2005.
The following are exempted from fee for submitting application for residence/work permit:
- All EU/EEA nationals.
- Children under the age of 18 years at the time the application is submitted.
Please inform The Embassy staff if you are entitled to be exempted.
